the peaceworks curriculum
The main objective of the PeaceWorks curriculum’ is to both
educate and sensitize young students on the concepts of Identity,
Human Rights and Gender in a manner that is age-appropriate and
out of the box [i.e. no lectures].
Through the consistent usage of visual mediums [photo essays, films,
posters, PowerPoint presentations, animation, etc.], students will
be encouraged to contributing actively towards social change.
A long-term objective is to encourage them to bring forward their
ideas on how to ensure that every citizen is given his/her rights,
how they will fight injustice/discrimination and, most importantly,
learn to live and let live in peace and harmony.
